This Privacy Policy explains how Med Bangladesh collects, uses, protects, retains, and shares information when you use our mobile application and related services.

Med Bangladesh provides a mobile service for browsing medicines, creating a customer account, placing orders, and reviewing order history. By using the service, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy.

Information we collect

We collect information that you provide when using the app, including:

• Account information: your name, phone number, optional email address, and password. Passwords are stored in hashed form and are not stored as readable text.
• Order and delivery information: customer name, phone number, delivery address, ordered products, quantities, prices, order status, order history, and any notes you choose to provide.
• Technical information: our servers may process standard request information such as IP address, request date and time, and error or security logs when the app communicates with our service.

A medicine order or note may reveal information related to your health. We treat this information as sensitive and use it only as needed to provide and protect the service. The current app does not request access to your precise location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, or files.

How we use information

We use collected information to:

• Create, authenticate, and manage customer accounts.
• Process orders and arrange delivery.
• Display order history and provide order updates.
• Respond to questions and provide customer support.
• Maintain service security, prevent misuse, and troubleshoot problems.
• Meet applicable business, legal, and regulatory obligations.

We do not use personal information for third-party behavioral advertising.

How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information only when reasonably necessary to:

• Authorized Med Bangladesh personnel who manage accounts, orders, support, and deliveries.
• Service providers that help us host, secure, support, or deliver the service, subject to appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
• Government authorities or other parties when required by applicable law, legal process, or to protect users, our rights, and the security of the service.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect personal information. The production app communicates with our API over HTTPS, account passwords are hashed, and access to administrative functions is restricted. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Data retention

We retain account information while an account remains active and retain order records for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill orders, provide support, maintain business and transaction records, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and meet applicable legal or regulatory requirements. When information is no longer required, we delete or anonymize it where reasonably practicable.

Account and data deletion

You may delete your Med Bangladesh account and associated personal data through our account deletion page. You will need the phone number or email address and password connected to your account so that we can verify the request.

After verification, we delete your account identifiers and remove personal delivery details and notes from previous orders. We retain anonymized transaction details such as order number, products, quantities, prices, status, and transaction dates for business, security, dispute, and legal recordkeeping. Because these retained records are no longer connected to your identity, they may be kept indefinitely in anonymized form.

Children’s privacy

Med Bangladesh is not designed for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal information may contact us to request its deletion.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, legal obligations, or data practices change. We will publish the revised policy on this page and update its effective date.
